FREDERICK, Md. – Stevenson baseball (5-7) opened 2024 conference play on Friday afternoon against the Hood College Blazers (9-3), ending with an 8-1 loss.

The Blazers quickly surpassed the Mustangs in the bottom of the second, scoring four runs.
Despite the loss, the Mustangs totaled six hits and an error, two walks, and five left on base for the team, with an RBI to Perillo.

Kyle Pellegrino going 3 innings with three strikeouts on six hits, six runs, and six walks. Sophomore
Matt Gordon struck out one on two walks, two runs and three hits.
The Mustangs host the Hood College Blazers in a doubleheader tomorrow, Saturday, March 16, for a seven-and-seven doubleheader beginning at noon at East Campus.
