HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. - The Stevenson women's tennis team picked up its second win a row in a 5-4 triumph over Lynchburg (Va.) at the Spring Tennis Fest.
Torrienne Emery and
Shelby Carter dominated their No. 1 doubles opponents, 8-0. Emery and Carter have won three of their last four matches.
Sofia McCoy and
Erin Saunders dropped their No. 2 match by an 8-3 score.
Carter picked up her third win in four matches with a 6-3, 6-0 win in No. 2 singles.
Kara Chwang picked up her third win of the spring, 6-0, 6-1, while
Tiffany Njemanze shutout her No. 6 opponent, 6-0, 6-0.
The Mustangs (2-5) will look for their third-straight win when they return home to take on Harford Community College on Monday, March 25. First serve is set for 2 p.m. at the Greenspring Campus Courts.
