GRANTHAM, Pa. – The Stevenson women's soccer team concluded their 2024 season run following a 0-9 loss to the, No.1 seeded, No. 5 Messiah in MAC Commonwealth post season action. The squad finished the season 5-10-4 overall, 3-3-1 in MAC Commonwealth play.
Messiah opened scoring on the evening in the 12
th minute of the match, and netted three more goals in the first half to slot a 4-0 lead heading into halftime. In the second half, the Falcons put away five more goals to slate the 9-0 victory over Stevenson to head to the MAC Commonwealth Championship.
Ericka Kitzinger put up the lone shot on goal in the contest for the Mustangs.
Alison Halstead and
Ava Patterson both spent time in net for Stevenson, notching a combined 12 saves.
During the 2024 season,
Karly Sheahan led the squad with a 12-point season with six goals, as
Madison Rytina followed with three goals and an assist. Kelly Shultz finished with two goals for a four-point season, as
Kayla Gerbes and
Kamille Purcell notched three points with a goal and assist each.
Courtney Keehner led the assist column with three. In net,
Alison Halstead spent over 1330 minutes on the field making 84 saves on the season with a .771 save percentage.
Ava Patterson stood in goal for just over 345 minutes and grabbed 15 saves on the season.
The Mustangs will now move into off season, and will pick up in the spring for their nontraditional season play day in spring 2025.
