Box Score ST. DAVIDS, Pa. - Stevenson Field Hockey traveled to Eastern University this afternoon for a MAC Commonwealth matchup against the Eagles. A dominant offensive performance by the Mustangs would send them home with their fourth straight conference win.
After a goalless first quarter, the Mustangs started their onslaught early in the second. Sophomore Shae Bennett netted her third goal on the season just two minutes into the quarter, citing an assist from junior Annie Ingersoll. Graduate student Emma Gladstein scored just minutes after, having been assisted by sophomore Monica Druckemiller. The two would reverse roles just two minutes later, with Druckemiller scoring her second goal of the season while Gladstein recorded her team-leading ninth assist of the season.
Stevenson's lone third quarter goal was provided by sophomore Lainey Rogers for her second of the year. The Mustangs' fifth and final goal was provided by junior Brenna Benson via classmate Emilie Rankin. The goal was Benson's first on the season and Rankin's assist was her first as well.
Gladstein led Stevenson's offense with nine shots on goal, followed by Druckemiller with three. Bennett, Ingersoll, Benson, and sophomore Lauren Tobin logged two apiece.
All three goalkeepers saw time on the field, but only sophomore Jordan Vradenburgh faced any shots on goal. She stopped both to add another shutout to her stat line this season.
The win puts the Mustangs at 13-2-1 overall and a perfect 4-0 in MACC play. Stevenson returns to the East Campus for their next conference matchup scheduled for this Saturday, October 26th against No. 16 Messiah University.
