Women’s Soccer and Elizabethtown end in a stalemate

OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The Stevenson women's soccer team and Elizabethtown battled to a 1-1 stalemate on Saturday afternoon. Prior to the match up, the team took a moment to honor Stevenson ACHA Hockey player, Eric Bennett, in memoriam.
 
Both goals of the match up were put away in the first half. Elizabethtown put away the first goal in the 29th minute of the contest. Ericka Kitzinger responded for the Mustangs in the 40th minute, netting an unassisted goal to tie the game. Although both teams fought offensively during the second half, the contest ended in a 1-1 stalemate.
 
Kitzinger netted the lone goal for Stevenson on the afternoon. Samantha Wilson led the shots on goal column with two as three other Mustangs registered one. Courtney Wysokowski posted six saves in goal for Stevenson.
 
The Mustangs will travel down to Winchester, Va. to face up against the Shenandoah Hornets on Wednesday. The matchup is set to begin at 7 p.m. under the lights.
