Cameron Summers qualified for the 100m finals and
Jeremiah Battle is currently second in the decathlon after the first of two days at the AARTFC Outdoor Championships, hosted by Susquehanna.
Summers qualified sixth in the 100 preliminaries with a stellar time of 10.78 seconds. The finals for the event take place on Thursday at 2:15 p.m.
Battle is in second place after five events in the decathlon with a score of 3265. Highlights of the day include third-place finishes in the long jump (6.25m), shot put (11.26m) and the 400 (51.49). Battle will look to overcome a 59-point deficit when the event resumes on Thursday at 10 a.m.
Hayden Schindler clocked a 15:25.16 in the 5000, which gave him 23rd out of 31 runners.
The second and final day of the meet begins on Thursday, May 18 at 10 a.m.
