YORK, Pa. - The Stevenson women's tennis team dropped their road match to York (Pa.) by a 9-0 score, which drops their MAC Commonwealth record to 3-3 on the year.
Samantha Zudov and
Jacquelyn Nesbeth lost a competitive match in No. 2 doubles, 8-5, while
Kera Skove and
Erin Saunders picked up four games in an 8-4 setback.
Nesbeth led in her No. 2 singles match by a set, but would eventually drop the match in a third set tiebreak, 4-6, 6-1, 10-3. Saunders - who also won the first set in her match - fell by a 5-7, 6-1, 10-6 score, which dropped her record to 4-5 on the year.
Stevenson (6-7, 3-3 MACC) will have to defeat Lebanon Valley - who is currently the top seed in the conference - on Saturday, April 22 to have a chance to qualify for the MAC semifinals. The Mustangs' next match takes place on Friday, April 21 in a home matchup against Catholic. First serve is set for 1 p.m.
