CHESTER, Pa. -
Cameron Summers kicked off his outdoor season with a blazing 100m dash time of 10.84 seconds, which gave him first place overall in the event on day two at the Danny Curran Invitational, hosted by Widener. Summers' time is tops in the MAC and just .01 seconds off of the top performance in the Mid-Atlantic region. Summers would also sprint to a fourth place finish in the 200 with a time of 22.07, which is also the top performance in the conference.
Nathan Williams shattered his school record of 52.94m in the hammer throw - which was set last week - with a top toss of 59.58, which gave him fourth overall and second among college athletes.Â
The Mustang 4x100m relay team took third overall and second among college squads in the event with a solid time of 42.65, which is currently tops in the conference.Â
Johnathan Womack clocked a new personal best in the 800 with a 1:59.00, which broke his previous PR by 2.64 seconds.
Hayden Schindler cruised by his previous personal best in the 1500 with a time of 4:08.02, giving him 12th out of 71 runners.Â
Alexander Reimert and
Charles Greer clocked times 58.72 and 59.61 in the 400m hurdles, respectively.
Jai Raccioppi and
Christian Eldridge finished back-to-back in the 200 with times 22.83 and 22.88 for the Mustangs.Â
Jay Hyman had a top throw of 40.47m in the javelin.
