Isabelle Pardew broke her own outdoor school record in the 5000 with a time of 17:41.57, which gave her first place in the event on day one of the Danny Curran Invitational, hosted by Widener. Pardew, who shattered her previous school mark by 37.35 seconds, currently has the fastest time in the MAC and second-fastest time in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Kaitlyn Hess notched a personal best in the triple jump with a hop, skip and jump of 10.56m, giving her 6th place overall.
Makayla Vaughns had a top toss of 30.95m in the discus - giving her 17th place out of 32 competitors.
The majority of the events will take place day two of the meet, which is set to resume on Saturday, April 1 at 9 a.m.
