CHESTER, Pa. -
Nathan Williams shattered his outdoor school records in both the shot put and discus on day one of the Danny Curran Invitational, hosted by Widener. Williams took 3rd overall in the discus with a top throw of 48.67m and 4th in the shot put with a toss of 15.15m. Williams' shot put performance is currently 2nd best in the MAC and 5th in the Mid-Atlantic region, while his distance in the discus is 2nd in the conference and region.
Hayden Schindler clocked a personal best in the 5000 with a time of 15:05.75, which gave him 14th out of 63 student-athletes.
The bulk of events will take place on day two of the event, which is set to resume at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 1.
