ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – The Stevenson women's tennis team fell 2-7 to St. Mary's College of Maryland on Sunday afternoon in their opening spring contest.
In doubles,
Torrienne Emery and
Tiffany Njemanze slotted the squads win in the #1 slot with a 8-6 victory. In #2 doubles
Mackenzie Dicke and
Jacquelyn Nesbeth fell 1-8.
Erin Saunders and
Samantha Zudov fell in a tight 6-8 match in #3 doubles.
In #1 singles,
Torrienne Emery grabbed a 7-6, 6-3 win.
Jacquelyn Nesbeth was slotted in #2 singles and fell 3-6 and 2-6.
Tiffany Njemanze fell 1-6 in both #3 singles matches. In #4 singles,
Samantha Zudov fell 3-6 and 2-6.
Kera Skove dropped 4-6 and 1-6 in #5 singles, as
Mackenzie Dicke fell 2-6 and 4-6 in #6 singles.
The Mustangs will prepare to head to Hilton Head Island, S.C. during their spring break period to face Western New England University on Sunday, Mar. 12. Match time to be announced.
