Isabelle Pardew became the first female Mustang in program history to win the 5000 at the MAC Indoor Championships, hosted by Alvernia at the PLEX, with an impressive time of 18:05.19 - 24.32 seconds better than the second-place finisher. Pardew, who earned All-MAC First Team honors with the win, currently has the seventh-fastest time in the Mid-Atlantic region (17:50.58). Pardew will look to continue her winning ways when she competes in the 3000 on Saturday.
Hannah Kepler qualified for the 60m dash finals with a personal-best time of 8.15 in the preliminaries, which gave her sixth overall.Â
The 4x200 relay team of
Jasmine Wilson, Kepler,
Kaitlyn Hess and
Skylia Day earned a spot on the podium with a season-best time of 1:53.01, giving them eighth overall.Â
Stevenson's distance medley relay team of
Celest McConnell,
Alissa Swann,
Malee Eagle and
Maryam Al Naseri just missed the podium with a combined time of 14:01.36, which gave them ninth overall.Â
Individually, Hess earned a personal best in the long jump with a top leap of 4.87m - giving her 11th overall out of 28 competitors.
Makayla Vaughns and
Kyrah Agbemble placed 12th and 13th in the weight throw with top distances of 12.17m and 11.66m, respectively.
After the first day of competition, Stevenson is tied for seventh alongside York (Pa.) with 11 points.
The second and final day of meet takes place on Saturday, Feb. 24, starting at 11 a.m.
