OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The Stevenson University women's volleyball team begins its run toward a MAC Commonwealth conference title on Wednesday, as the second-seeded Mustangs host third-seeded Messiah University at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $5 for adults, $4 for senior citizens, while students (with valid ID) are $2.
The winner of Wednesday night's matchup will take on the winner of the other semifinal which features fourth-seeded York against top-seed Eastern.
Stevenson has advanced to every Commonwealth final since 2012, going a perfect 10-0 in semifinal games.
The two teams met earlier this year, with Stevenson winning in Grantham back on September 26 by a 3-1 score.
Stevenson is paced by
Rileigh Kimball who has a team-best 275 kills on the year, while
Darian Dildy has 235. Dildy's attack percentage of .446 is currently the best among active players in Division III, while the Mustangs as a team are fourth in Division III in blocks per set at 2.49.
For Messiah, Mackenzie Feight leads the team with 296 kills while Emma Swartz has 51 service aces.
