ANNVILLE, Pa. – Stevenson women's basketball (7-13, 6-5 MACC) was tested early, ultimately ending their second and final game against Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth opponent Lebanon Valley College (10-9, 6-4 MACC) this season with a 58-42 loss.
 
Despite the loss, freshman guard Erin Dixon topped the Mustangs with 10 total points, notching four rebounds. Sophomore guard Emori Jeselskis again remained consistent in her performance with six points and eight rebounds. With five points, sophomore guard Laci Johnson caused seven turnovers and had five rebounds on the afternoon. Senior forward Morgan DeBeary notched seven points in an effort to close the gap as the game unfolded. Johnson and first year Tessa Boswell each had a three-pointer on the afternoon.
 
FIRST QUARTER
The Dutchwomen scored early, quickly notching six points before Boswell's three pointer just under four minutes into the opening quarter. The tight gap was quickly widened as the Dutchwomen remained consistent in scoring. Dixon scored with 3:44 remaining before the Dutchwomen secured their early lead with a three- pointer. The Mustangs scored 11 points in the opening quarter by the time it ended, trailing the Dutchwomen by four points.
 
SECOND QUARTER
With the Mustangs picking up on defense, the Dutchwomen notched points just under two minutes in. The gap continued to widen as LVC built a significant lead. Jeselskis ended the half with a successful basket with just three seconds remaining, ending in a 33-15 decision in favor of the Dutchwomen.
 
THIRD QUARTER
The Dutchwomen scored one last time just over two minutes in before Johnson secured her three-pointer 13 seconds later. The Mustangs made four successful shots in the third quarter but could not match the pace established by the Dutchwomen. They scored eight more points, ending the third quarter with a 22-point lead, 49-27.
 
FOURTH QUARTER
Pushing to close the 22-point gap, the Mustangs scored three times in the first two minutes of the final quarter. Senior forward Maleah Smith scored just 11 seconds in, while sophomore forward Stephenae Lawrence and senior guard Morgan Pennick followed with successful baskets. The Mustangs managed nine more points, but continued to trail the Dutchwomen as the game ended in a 16-point loss, 58-42.

The Mustangs fall to 7-13 overall and 6-5 in conference play, dropping to fifth in the standings. The Dutchwomen improved to 10-9 overall and 6-4 in conference play. The Mustangs return home in conference play against Widener University on Wednesday, Feb. 1 for an 8 p.m. tipoff. The Dutchwomen travel to Hood College on Feb. 1 for an 8 p.m. tipoff.
