Cameron Summers clocked a blazing time of 6.98 seconds in the 60m finals at the Bison Open & Multi, hosted by
Bucknell, which gave him first place overall in a field of Division I, II and III athletes. Summers currently has the top time in the Middle Atlantic Conference (6.92) and second best in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Nathan Williams shattered his previous school record in the weight throw with a top toss of 18.14m, which gave him third-place overall and first out of Division I athletes. Williams - who has the top throw in the conference and region - now has the sixth-best performance in all Division III, which puts him in prime position to qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships. Williams would also have a top throw of 14.39m in the shot put, giving him 12th out of 30 athletes.
Hayden Schindler shattered his previous personal best in the mile by over five seconds with a time of 4:33.22, which gave him 18th out of 31 competitors.
Malik Hamilton crossed the line in the 400 with a time of 53.60, while
Johnathan Womack clocked a 2:42.72 in the 1000 - giving him fourth place.
Landon
Zernhelt and
Khari Stewart both notched distances of 5.69m in the long jump.
Stevenson competes next at the NYU
DIII Invitational on Friday, February 3.
