Summers, Schindler Lead Mustangs on Day One of Bison Open

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Hayden Schindler and Cameron Summers turned in impressive performances in their respective events on day one of two at the Bison Open & Multi, hosted by Bucknell. 

Summers placed fourth overall and second among Division III athletes in the 200 with a time of 22.33 seconds. Summers currently has the fastest 200 time in the Mid-Atlantic region (22.12) and Middle Atlantic Conference. Jai Raccioppi placed eighth in the event out of 66 runners with a time of 22.96.

Schindler clocked a personal best 5000 time of 15:49.70 to take third overall and second among DIII runners. Schindler's time is currently sixth best in the MAC thus far.  Taylor Farnsworth ran a solid time of 16:41.40 - just a little over four seconds behind his personal best (16:37.23).

Charles Greer clocked a 9.64 in the 60m hurdles for the Mustangs. 

The bulk of the remaining events will take place on day two of the meet, which resumes at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 28.
