Cameron Summers continued his stellar start to the indoor season with victories in both the 60m and 200m dash at the Kaye & JJ Smith Invitational, hosted by Shenandoah. Summers took first in the 60m dash finals with a personal-best time of 6.92 seconds, while cruising to victory in the 200 with a time of 22.73 seconds - .47 seconds faster than the second-place finisher. Summers currently has the top time in the Mid-Atlantic region in both the 60 (6.92) and 200 (22.73).
Nathan Williams, yet again, broke his own school record in the weight throw with a top toss of 17.30m - .32m better than his previous personal best set at the Fastrack Season Opener to kickoff this season. Williams would finish third in the event. Williams also set a new personal best in the shot put with a top throw of 14.69m - which also gave him third place.
Hayden Schindler clocked a personal-best in the mile with a time of 4:38.42, while
Johnathan Womack crossed the line in 4:42.98 to take ninth in the event.Â
Malik Hamilton took seventh out of 28 runners in the 400 with a time of 53.96, while
Jackson Hall placed fifth in the 800 with a time of 2:13.91.
Khari Stewart jumped a height of 1.65m in the high jump to place seventh.
Jay Hyman took third in the pole vault with a top height of 3.70m, which matches the qualifying height for the MAC Championships.
Jeremiah Battle placed sixth in the long jump with a top jump of 5.84m.Â
