GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, N.J. – Stevenson men's soccer dropped a 5-0 road contest at Stockton on Saturday.
The Ospreys push their record to 3-1-1, while Stevenson falls to 0-2-2.
Stevenson made offensive pushes at the onset of the first half with a high shot attempt from Bryant Seivers in the third minute. A minute later, the Ospreys ripped two attempts, both saved by Kristian Slaby.
Slaby made a pair of saves in just under 70 minutes for the Mustangs.
Tiago Silva added one of three shots for the match in the 19th minute. The offensive push was not enough as the Ospreys scored the first goal of the afternoon just after, coming from the foot of Thomas Trimble.
Nick Sirasky attempted a shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but was met short with a save from Osprey goalkeeper Liam Brett. Both teams remained methodical as the first half progressed. The 31st minute saw the second goal of the afternoon, also from Trimble and assisted by Aiden Hoenisch. Stockton continued pouring it on in the 35th minute, increasing its lead to 3-0.
Iliass Zouita launched a chance high in the 49th minute with Stevenson pressing forward offensively. Despite the high chance from Zouita, the Ospreys expanded their lead to 4-0 about a minute later.
Stockton notched its final goal in the 68th minute, using strong defense to preserve the shutout.
