Box Score PITTSTON, Pa. -- Stevenson men's hockey continued sporting its flair for the dramatic, picking up a 2-1 road win in overtime against King's (Pa.) on Tuesday night in UCHC/MAC action.
Stevenson (14-5-1, 10-3) picked up its fifth straight victory as Ryan Patrick finished off a drop pass off the rush from Eric Olson and Frank Vitucci with the man advantage.
King's (Pa.) (4-16-0, 3-11-0) did not go quietly, working to tie the score at one in the third period and earning a crucial point in the UCHC standings.
- Stevenson built pressure over the opening half of the period but struggled to direct any quality looks on goal. Ryan Kenny made a point-blank save on a King's (Pa.) man advantage, following it up with a shorthanded save minutes later.
- Off the rush, Evan Beers had a chance shuffled away in the slot. The Mustangs killed off another King's power play chance as the clock ticked down near the 3:30 mark.
- Kenny made a stick save on a one-time chance before smothering the rebound chance to stop play with 2:01 left in the period.
