Cameron Summers and
Nathan Williams kicked off their indoor season's with first-place finishes in their respective events at the Fastrack Season Opener, held at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
Williams shattered his own school record in the weight throw with a top toss of 16.98m to take first overall in the event, while also placing third in the shot put with a top toss of 13.74m.
Summers took first place in the 60m dash finals with a 6.95 - just .02 seconds off of his personal best. Summers would finish second overall - in a field of 63 Division I, II and III athletes - in the 200m dash with an indoor personal-best time of 22.12.
Johnathan Womack clocked his best indoor 800 time since the 2020 MAC Indoor Championships (2:02.27) with a time of 2:03.19 - giving him seventh out of 22 athletes.
Malik Hamilton crossed the line in 2:06.94 for the Mustangs.
Amar Mack made his collegiate debut with a time of 7.50 in the 60, while Fabrice Saint Hillien - who was also making his Mustang debut - clocked a 1:08.44 in the 500.
Jai Raccioppi opened up his indoor campaign with a time of 53.31 in the 400, while
Alexander Reimert opened up his Mustang career with a time of 54.63 in the event.
In the 3000,
Hayden Schindler (PR),
Jake Barrett and
Taylor Farnsworth (PR) crossed the line with times of 9:14.88, 9:24.46 and 9:28.60, respectively.
In the 4x400m relay, Hamilton, Saint Hillien, Reimert and Raccioppi took eighth out of 14 schools with a combined time of 3:33.71.
Khari Stewart had a top leap of 6.32m in the long jump, giving him eighth overall. Stewart would also place 10th in the triple jump with a hop, skip and jump of 12.54m.
Stevenson competes next at the Kaye & JJ Smith Invitational, hosted by Shenandoah University, on Sunday, January 15.
