REISTERSTOWN, Md.- The Nazareth offense was just too much for the Stevenson University women's hockey team as the Golden Flyers defeated the Mustangs, 6-0

• The Mustangs started off the first period holding their ground against No. 7 Nazareth. At the 5:48 minute mark, Stevenson fired off three shots; two from Nikki Kendrick and one from Cassie Campbell. 
• Midway through the period at the 9:39 minute mark, Nazareth scored their first goal of the game. Three minutes later, the Golden Flyers extended their lead, 2-0. 
• Stevenson had four power-play opportunities throughout the first period but couldn't put more than a couple of shots up each opportunity.

• Nazareth held control for the second period by only allowing one Mustang shot on goal. The Golden Flyer defense was in full force during the period as they blocked, three shots.
• At the 14:16 minute mark, Nazareth scored their third goal of the game with a wide-open shot up the middle. 

• The third period was the same for Nazareth as they became even more dominant. One minute into the final period, the Golden Flyers added their fourth goal of the game to lead, 4-0. 
• Minutes later just after a Nazareth shot, the Golden Flyers again capitalized on another goal. 
• For the next couple of minutes, Stevenson was able to get a hold of the puck. Emily Brightbill came in with two consecutive shots but both were saved by the Nazareth goalie. 
• Just after the end of a Stevenson power play, Nazareth added one final goal at the 17:05 minute mark with a high shot from the right side. 

• Nazareth outshot Stevenson 36-13. 
• Stevenson won 25 of the 44 faceoffs with Tea Ferrara winning 11 of her 17. 
• Olivia DeGuire made 30 saves in the net. 
• The Mustangs had the most power-play opportunities of the season with nine. 
• Stevenson moves to 5-7, 4-4 in the UCHC while Nazareth remains undefeated (14-0, 10-0 UCHC). 

• The Mustangs are back at home this Friday, January 14 at 2:30 PM as they host Alvernia in a UCHC/MAC matchup.
