WESTMINSTER, Md.- The Stevenson field hockey team defeated McDaniel on the road, Wednesday evening for their first win of the season.

• McDaniel had control of the first quarter as they put up four shots. 

• The Mustangs and McDaniel split control of this quarter as each totaled a corner and a shot. 

• Thirty-five seconds into the half, after a corner, McDaniel's Amy Richenderfer scored the first goal of the game from Tenley Pelot after a corner. 
• In the 31st minute, the Mustangs were awarded a corner which resulted in a shot by Riley Sullivan but it was saved by the Green Terror goalie. 
• Three minutes later, Lindsay Garnish assisted Macy Kosanovich from the top right to the backside post for the Mustang's first goal. 
• In the 39th minute, Stevenson was at it again. After a scramble in the front off of a hit by Kosanovich, Garnish extended the Mustang's lead, 2-1. 

• The Green Terror seemed to control the final quarter but goalie Rachel Barker was up to the challenge as she totaled two saves. 

• McDaniel held a slight 9-5 edge in shots and also a 6-4 edge in corners. 
• Sophomore, Kosanovich, and freshman Garnish each tallied their first collegiate goal and assist. 

• The Mustangs continue their road game stretch as they travel to Washington (Md.), Saturday, September 11th. Game time is scheduled for 1:00 PM.
