OWINGS MILLS, Md.- The Stevenson University field hockey team defeated visiting, Goucher College, 3-0 on a cloudy Tuesday evening.

• The Mustangs started off strong as they scored in the first three minutes. After a shot by Kaitlin Karns and then a Goucher goalie save, Macy Kosanovich scored the first goal. 

• Stevenson held possession on their side of the field as they were awarded seven corners but they were unable to find the back of the cage. 

• The third quarter got more interesting as Goucher managed to get the ball into the arc where they were awarded a corner. 
• The Mustangs still held onto the ball as they totaled eight shots and four corners. 

• Goucher got off their only two shots of the game in the 49th and 52nd minutes. 
• Towards the end of the game, the Mustangs got back to their scoring ways as they scored their final two goals in the 55th and 59th minutes. 
• In the 55th minute, after a shot by Nicole Ziegler was deflected by the Gopher goalie, Kosanovich got a hold of the ball for her second goal of the game. 
• In the 59th minute, after Rylee Leakway put in a corner, she passed it to Ziegler for the Mustang's final goal of the game. 

• Stevenson outshot Goucher, 26-2. 
• The Mustangs also held the 20-3 advantage in corners. 
• Kosanovich scored her 4th and 5th goal of the season, as she leads the team in points with 14. 
• Leakway tallied her first career assist.
