OWINGS MILLS, Md.- The Stevenson field hockey team fell, 2-1 at home against Shenandoah University on Saturday afternoon.

• The Mustangs scored their lone goal of the game 1:30 into the first quarter. Macy Kosanovich assisted Nicole Ziegler. 
• From then on Shenandoah put up an offensive front as they took eight shots and were awarded nine corners. 

• The Hornets held possession of the ball as they racked up nine shots. Going into the second half, Shenandoah totaled 16 shots. 
• In the 21st minute, Carolyn Braziel fired off a shot but it was saved by the Shenandoah goalie. 

• One minute into the third quarter, the Hornets tied up the game, 1-1 after Kelsey Jones took a penalty shot. 
• The Mustangs took four shots during this quarter as they were the most they took in a quarter during the game. 

• In the 52nd minute, Shenandoah sealed their, 2-1 win. 

• Jamie Fritz tallied 16 saves in goal while Riley Sullivan put up an impressive four defensive saves. 
• Shenandoah held a large margin in shots, 33-8, and in corners, 19-4. 
• Kosanovich totaled her fourth assist on the season. 
• Ziegler added her second goal of the season. 

• The Mustangs host Goucher on Tuesday, September 21st at 7:00 PM.
