OWINGS MILLS, Md. - The Stevenson women's volleyball team split a pair of matches Saturday on day two of its own tournament at Owings Mills Gymnasium. The Mustangs (7-1) bested DeSales 3-1 in the opener before dropping their first match of the season in the nightcap as they were swept by Mary Washington.

• Set scores were 26-24, 25-21, 22-25, 25-18.
• Mackenzie Blevins posted a triple-double, recording 17 kills, 19 assists and 18 digs.  She hit .273 and also had a pair of blocks.
• Piper Connors and Darian Dildy each totaled 11 kills, while Shannon Baily and Sarah Straub registered eight and seven, respectively.
• Makala Thompson led Stevenson with 25 assists.
• Kayla Vaeth had a team-high 26 digs, while Emily Pellini also finished with 18.
• Connors and Thompson added 16 and 14 digs, respectively.
• The Mustangs hit .185 while holding the Bulldogs to .105 hitting.
• Stevenson finished with 10 service aces in the contest.

• Set scores were 30-28, 25-15, 25-20.
• In the first set, UMW was serving for the set at 24-22 before back-to-back kills by Rileigh Kimball tied the set 24-24.
• Stevenson staved off three more Eagle set points before back-to-back Connors kills put it serving for set point at 28-27.
• Mary Washington scored the next three points to secure the set.
• The Eagles jumped out to an early 11-4 lead in the second set.
• Stevenson led the third set 15-11 before seven straight Mary Washington points put it in front 18-15.
• The Mustangs pulled within 21-20 before the guests scored the final four points of the match.
• Kimball and Connors led the Mustangs with eight kills apiece.
• Blevins finished with 14 assists and 14 digs, while Thompson added 10 assists.
• Vaeth again led the Mustangs in digs with 16, with Connors adding 10.
• Mary Washington hit .160 for the match while holding the Mustangs to .055 hitting.

• Blevins' triple-double is just the 12th in NCAA Division III women's volleyball thus far this season.
• The loss to the Eagles snapped a seven-match home win streak dating back to 2019.

• Stevenson returns to MAC Commonwealth play Tuesday night when it hosts Eastern in a 7 pm contest at Owings Mills Gymnasium.
