Box Score REISTERSTOWN, Md. - The Stevenson men's ice hockey team was shutout for the first time this season as fourth-seeded Elmira upset the second-seeded Mustangs, 3-0, Monday afternoon at Reisterstown Sportsplex. Tournament Most Valuable Player, Chris Janzen, stopped all 29 shots he faced.
- The Mustangs (12-3-1) were whistled for the first penalty of the contest at the 2:27 mark.
- With 36 seconds remaining on the power play, the Soaring Eagles (10-4-1) took a 1-0 lead as Bailey Krawczyk found the back of the net.
- Stevenson went back to the penalty box at the 5:43 mark but Elmira did not record a shot on the man advantage.
- The hosts went on its first power play at the midway point, but Janzen stopped all four shots faced.
- With six seconds remaining, the Mustangs earned their second power play opportunity that carried into the second period.
- Janzen stopped both shots he faced on the penalty kill to open the period.
- A hooking penalty at the 4:43 mark gave the Mustangs their third straight power play but Janzen once again knocked aside a pair of shots.
- Stevenson killed off a penalty but just six seconds after the penalty expired, the Soaring Eagles pushed their lead to two at the 15:01 mark.
