REISTERSTOWN, Md. - Stevenson women's ice hockey senior Trinity Barcless netted her second career hat trick while first year Franki Cappello scored her first career goal as the Mustangs cruised to a 7-1 victory over Lebanon Valley in a United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) and Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) contest Friday evening at Reisterstown Sportsplex.

• The Mustangs (4-1-0, 4-1-0 UCHC) earned the game's first power play opportunity just 3:14 into the contest after the visitors were called for a roughing penalty.
• The hosts managed just one shot on the player advantage as a shot by junior Breanna Crosson was knocked aside by Olivia Magneson.
• Stevenson heavily outshot the Dutchmen (0-4-1, 0-4-1 UCHC) in the opening period and finally broke through as first year Hannah Labbe netted her second goal of the season.
• Labbe picked up assists from junior Nikki Kendrick and senior Angelica Saluzzo.
• Just 15 seconds later, Barcless scored her first goal of the game, taking a turnover in the offensive zone and sending a back-hander over the shoulder of Magneson.
• Lebanon Valley went back to the penalty box with one second remaining in the period.

• Stevenson recorded a pair of shots on net on its second power play opportunity but could not get either past Magneson.
• Barcless nearly scored her second goal of the game but the puck hit off the crossbar and stayed out of the net.
• Peyton Nagy got the visitors on the board at the 5:01 mark, scoring on a two-on-one breakaway.
• After the Dutchmen killed off their third penalty of the game, Barcless reclaimed the hosts two-goal lead, getting helpers from sophomore Karly Aguirre and Labbe.
• That same trio connected again just 3:40 later at the 14:34 mark, with Aguirre feeding Barcless in front of the net for her hat trick.
• The Mustangs were whistled for their first and only penalty of the game but it was Kendrick who scored a shorthanded goal. Juniors Paige Sullivan and Elizabeth Gaudreau dished out the assists.
• Less than a minute later and at even strength, Cappello netted her first career goal on assists from junior Tea Ferrara and sophomore Ashlyn Bray.

• At the 7:34 mark, Aguirre found the back of the net for the third time this season, getting helpers from Barcless and Bray.
• The Mustangs had a late power play opportunity but both shots from the point were stopped in front.
• Lebanon Valley was held to just three shots in the final period, and recorded none in the final 6:38.

• Stevenson outshot Lebanon Valley, 43-16, including 16-4 in the first period.
• The Mustangs went 0-for-4 on the power play but killed off their 13th straight penalty.
• With the win, Stevenson improved to 9-0-0 all-time versus the Dutchmen and have outscored them, 47-4.
• First year Ainsley King made 15 saves on 16 shots in her first career start in net.
• Labbe finished with a career-best three points and now has seven points over her last three games.
• Barcless ties her career-high with four points while Aguirre recorded her 10th career multi-point game.
• It is the second career two-assist game for Bray.

• Stevenson returns to action on Saturday, March 6 when the Mustangs travel to Lebanon Valley for a UCHC and MAC contest beginning at 4:00 p.m.
• The Mustangs are back on home ice on Saturday, March 13 when they host a UCHC and MAC contest versus Alvernia. Puck drop is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
