PINE VALLEY, N.Y. - Stevenson men's ice hockey junior Chad Watt netted his third goal in as many games but Elmira scored three unanswered, including two in the third period, as the Soaring Eagles skated to a 3-1 non-conference victory Friday afternoon at Murray Athletic Center.

• Watt scored at the 10:35 mark to give the Mustangs (2-1) the lead on assists from first year Eric Olson and junior Luke Benitez.
• Just 38 seconds later, Janis Vizbelis tied to game for Elmira (1-0) on helpers from Jake Russo and Adam Eby.
• Stevenson had three power play opportunities in the opening period.

• Neither team found the back of the net in the middle frame.
• The Soaring Eagles were 0-for-4 on the power play with their fourth opportunity carrying over into the third period.
• Stevenson could not find the back of the net on either of its two power play attempts.

• Eby gave the hosts the lead at the 7:15 mark of the period on a helper from Russo, his second of the game.
• With the Mustangs on the power play, sophomore Marko Sturma was pulled in favor of an extra skater, but Eby netted his second goal of the game and the period for Elmira.

• Stevenson outshot Elmira, 28-20, but the hosts held a 9-7 edge in the third period.
• The Mustangs went 0-for-7 on the power play and 8-for-8 on the penalty kill.
• Olson has started his career with a point in all three games, leading the team with four assists.
• Sturma finished with 17 saves.

• Stevenson returns to action on Saturday, February 20 when the Mustangs host Elmira in a non-conference contest beginning at 5:00 p.m.
