REISTERSTOWN, Md.- The Stevenson men's hockey team fell short against visiting No. 3 Utica, Saturday afternoon at Reisterstown Sportsplex.

Stevenson dropped their first UCHC game of the season as their record now stands at 3-1-1 overall and 2-1 in conference play. 

• Aidan Graham had a shot denied at the 10:52 minute mark. Less than a minute later Chad Watt and Brendan Rylott assisted Luke Benitz on the opening goal of the game. 
• Fifteen seconds later, Utica responded to tie up the game at 1-1. 
• At the 18:29 minute mark, Utica extended their lead, 2-1 going into the second period. 

• The Pioneers started off the period with another goal on a power-play to extend their lead, 3-1. 
• The Mustangs just missed cashing in on power-play goal. As time expired on the Utica penalty, Frank Vitucci scored the Mustang's second goal with assists from Alex Rivet and Aidan Graham. 

• Utica got things rolling seconds into the start of the period with another goal to double their lead, 4-2. 
• At the 5:48 minute mark, Utica ripped home a shot to lead, 5-2. 
• Minutes later, Stevenson took two consecutive shots but both were saved by Sean Dickson. 
• A Mustang shot at the 19:19 minute mark was yet again saved by Dickson but ten seconds later, Stevenson scored their final goal of the game. Watt scored the final goal with assists from Malcom Palmer and Austin Master. 

• Benitz and Vitucci recorded their second goals of the season while Watt added his third. 
• Ryan Kenny tallied 33 saves in goal for the Mustangs. 
• Utica was able to capitalize on one of their four power plays while Stevenson went 0-3. 
• The Pioneers recorded 38 shots and Stevenson totaled 23 shots. 

• Stevenson returns home November 19th as they host Manhattanville in UCHC play at 3:00 PM.
