Box Score REISTERSTOWN, Md. -- Stevenson men's hockey overcame a late push from visiting Nazareth, finding the back of the net in overtime for a 6-5 win in the home opener on Friday night inside the Reisterstown Sportsplex.
Ryan Patrick netted his first goal of the season, one-timing a shot home off a feed from Austin Master, as Stevenson (3-0-1, 2-0-0 UCHC) picked up its third consecutive win. Meanwhile, Nazareth (2-3-0, 2-1-0 UCHC) answered back from deficits throughout the night, which included a goal at the 18:27 mark of the third.
- Liam McCanney had a pair of early looks denied, while Nazareth countered back for the opening goal of the night just 2:33 into the contest.
- McCanney eventually netted the equalizer, with assists going to Anthony Starzi and Master, at 8:36 in the frame.
- Mac Lowry doubled the Stevenson advantage with seven minutes left in the period. Evan Beers and Master each stepped in front of Nazareth shot attempts as the Mustangs took a 2-1 edge into the intermission.
- The Golden Flyers cashed in on a power play chance, knotting the score at two.
- Frank Vitucci answered with his first tally of the season at the 17:38 mark on the power play.
- The Mustangs doubled the lead to 4-2 on Vitucci's second goal of the night just under four minutes into the third.
- The Golden Flyers once again made the most of the man-advantage as Keith Davenport ripped home a shot.
- Nazareth tied the score at four just over eight minutes in, before Luke Benitez responded for the Mustangs.
- Nazareth sent the game to overtime with another man-up goal, coming at the 18:27 mark.

- Friday's contest marked the second overtime matchup of the season for Stevenson. The Mustangs previously tied with SUNY Canton in the opener back on October 29.
- Patrick finished with a +4, notching a goal and two assists in the victory. He was one of three Stevenson players with multiple points as Master and Aidan Graham registered a pair of assists.
- Ryan Kenny made 24 saves, crossing the 1,000-save plateau for his career.
