GRANTHAM, Pa.- The Stevenson field hockey team fell, 5-1 at No. 9 Messiah, Wednesday evening.

• Messiah flew to a 2-0 lead in the first quarter as they scored in the first and seventh minutes. 
• In the 11th minute, the Mustangs got their sticks on the ball as they were awarded two corners in a row. A few seconds later, Nicole Ziegler took a shot but it was saved by the Falcons goalie. 

• Messiah held on to the ball for the majority of the quarter but didn't find the back of the cage towards the end of the second quarter in the 25th minute. The Falcons led 3-0, going into halftime. 

• Two minutes into the third quarter, Messiah extended their lead to 4-0. 
• The Mustangs took over possession with five minutes left in the quarter.
• Following a Mustang corner, Meghan Huey assisted Riley Sullivan for Stevenson's lone goal of the game. 
• With a minute remaining in the quarter Amber DeJonge fired off a shot but it was saved by a Messiah player. Carolyn Braziel then took a shot but it was saved by the Falcon goalie. 

• In the 50th minute, Messiah scored their fifth and final goal of the game to win, 5-1. 
• The Mustangs took four more shots to end the quarter but they were blocked and saved. 

• Rachel Barker tallied ten saves in goal. 
• Huey recorded her first career assist while Sullivan scored her fifth goal of the season. 
• Field Hockey ends their season 5-10 overall and 2-6 in the MAC Commonwealth.
