OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Host Stevenson held Albright without a field goal for over 11 minutes to start the game and never trailed, outlasting the Lions for a 77-70 MAC Commonwealth men's basketball victory Wednesday night at Owings Mills Gymnasium.

• Stevenson (6-15, 3-9 MAC Commonwealth) held Albright (11-9, 6-5) without a field goal for the first 11-plus minutes, opening up a 22-5 lead.
• The Lions misfired on their first 16 field goal attempts of the game.
• The Mustangs scored the game's first nine points and led 22-3 at the 9:05 mark on two free throws by Mark Terrell.
• Albright got the lead down to 12, 24-12, at the 5:10 mark on a basket by Corey Simmons.
• A three by Norman Hughes with 4:44 remaining stopped the 9-2 Albright run.
• The guests kept chipping away, and pulled within seven, 32-25, on a Simmons basket to end the half.

• A layup by Evan Joseph on Stevenon's first possession of the second half increased the lead to nine.
• Albright got the lead down to five, 34-29, with 18:25 on the clock, but Stevenson responded with a 8-2 spurt capped by a Hughes three to make it 42-31.
• The Lions cut the lead to six, 45-39, with 14:55 to go, but a Terrell basket with 12:51 left capped a 9-2 run and put the hosts on top 54-41.
• Stevenson took its largest lead of the second half, 61-46, on two Hughes free throws just shy of the midway point.
• The Lions outscored the Mustangs 19-7 over the next seven-plus minutes and cut the lead to three, 68-65, on a Sam Majekodumni basket with 3:08 left.
• Hughes sank two at the line to make it 70-65 with 2:51 left.
• Albright scored five of the game's next seven points and pulled within two, 72-70, on a three by Majekodumni with 1:15 to play.
• Jaylin Johnson was fouled in the act of shooting with 1:04 left and made 1-of-2 at the line.
• Albright turned it over on its next possession, but the Mustangs came up empty on their next trip.
• The Lions were fouled on the rebound action, but missed the front end of a one-and-one and Joseph grabbed the rebound.
• Joseph sank two at the line with 16 seconds left to make it a two-possession game.
• A Lion three-point attempt was blocked by Hughes, and he converted a layup to account for the final.

• Stevenson shot 53.8% in the second half and 47.1% for the game, while holding the Lions to 36.8% shooting.
• The Mustangs went 22-29 at the free throw line and 7-17 behind the arc, while the guests were just 4-20 from long range and 16-24 at the stripe.
• Albright edged the hosts in rebounding 40-39.
• Hughes led four Mustangs in double figures with 20 points, while also recording four assists and a pair of blocks.
• Hughes finished 9-9 at the free throw line, extending his made free throw streak to 30.
• Johnson tallied 17 points and six rebounds, matching his season high set earlier this season at Albright.
• Terrell recorded 14 points and five rebounds, while freshman Cornelius Bobo had a career-best 10 points off the bench.
