FREDERICK, Md. - The Stevenson University women's basketball team collected a MAC Commonwealth win on Wednesday night against Hood at BB&T Arena. Hood came within three points in the final minute of the game but Stevenson was able to hold off the Blazers to take a 64-59 win. Junior Olivia Coleman led the Mustangs with a double-double, 12 rebounds and 11 points.

• To begin the game, Senior Hannah Crist wasted no time as she put a three in the basket just five seconds into the game for Stevenson (9-8, 4-4 MAC Commonwealth).
• Hood (4-13, 0-8 MAC Commonwealth) responded with a Celestria Hill layip to make the score, 2-3, at the 9:37 mark.
• At the 7:57 mark, a Brandi Hall three pushes Stevenson 6-2 over the Blazers. 
• An Ebony Pitt three at the 7:09 mark brings Hood within one of the Mustangs, 5-6.
• Crist follows with another three at the 6:51 mark to extend the lead by four, 9-5.
• A Hill layup at the 3:38 marks caps a 6-2 run to tie the game, 11-11.
• Morgan Anderson puts a layup in at the 1:39 mark to give Hood a lead, a Hall three with 47 seconds left gives Stevenson a lead, 14-13.
• To end the quarter with 28 seconds left, Mia Savoy hit a three to bring Hood over Stevenson, 16-14.

• Tamiya Ford extended the Blazers lead by four when she put up a layup at the 9:04 mark, 18-14.
• A Anderson jumper capped a 8-4 run and gave Hood and eight point lead at the 4:22 mark, 26-18.
• Denia Campbell put in a layup at the 3:54 mark and a free throw at the 2:46 mark to make it a 21-27 game.
• At the 1:21 mark, Coleman posted a layup for Stevenson.
• With 50 seconds left until the break, a Crist layup brought Stevenson within two of Hood, 25-27.

• 35 seconds into the second half, Crist posted a layup to tie the game, 27-27. Crist followed up with another layup to change the lead, 29-27, at the 9:00 mark.
• A Sarah Meiklejohn three caps an even 5-5 run with a three to shrink Stevenson's lead by two, 32-34.
• A Kellie Johnson three at the 2:55 mark extended the Mustangs lead by five. 
• Crist posted another three at the 1:44 mark to make it a 42-34 game.
• At the 1:19 mark, Hall put up a layup to then come back 47 seconds later to hit a three to extend Stevenson's lead by ten, 47-37.
• A Savoy basket brought Hood within nine of Stevenson with 15 seconds left in the quarter, 39-47.

• Two Hill free throws get the Blazer within six of Stevenson to start the final quarter.
• Lauren Keeney hit a three at the 8:36 mark to shrink the lead by five, 44-49.
• Hood held a 7-4 run capped by a Anderson basket at the 3:29 mark to bring Hood within three, 51-54.
• At the 1:01 mark, Hood trails Stevenson by two after a Hill jumper. Hill put in one free throw at the :27 mark to come within three of Stevenson, 57-60.
• Two Brandi Hall free throws with 14 seconds left in regulation gives Stevenson the win at 64-59.

• Stevenson shot 33.9% from the floor while Hood shot 32.3%.
• The Mustangs shot 19-36 at the free throw line while the hosts went 14-19.
• The Mustangs outrebounded the Blazers 52-39.
• The game featured four lead changes.
• Stevenson went 7-24 behind the arc, Hall and Crist each hitting three.
• Coleman tallied five blocks, three steals, and 11 points, and 12 rebounds for Stevenson.
• Hall scored 18 points for the Mustangs, matching her career-best for the second time this season.
• Crist collected 20 points and six rebounds.
• Abdul-Rahman contributed five points while Campbell had four.

• Stevenson will travel to Arcadia on Saturday, January 25 for a MAC Commonwealth match-up against Arcadia at Alumni Gymnasium at 1 p.m.
• The Mustangs will host MAC Commonwealth opponent Alvernia on Wednesday, January 29 at 8 p.m. at Owings Mills Gymnasium.
