Box Score OWINGS MILLS, Md. - The Stevenson University women's volleyball team closed out the regular season and extended its win streak to nine matches with a 3-1 win against Stevens at Owings Mills Gymnasium Saturday morning. Set scores were 20-25, 27-25, 25-16, 25-23.
- Stevens (22-9) used five straight points to take a 10-7 lead.
- Up 12-10, the Ducks used another 5-0 run to build a 17-10 lead.
- Stevenson (20-11) had a 5-0 run of its own with Emily Pellini serving, and after back-to-back kills by Darian Hileman, pulled within 21-19 on a Stevens attack error.
- The Ducks closed out the set on a 4-1 run to take a 1-0 lead.
- The Mustangs jumped out to a quick 6-1 lead.
- Stevens clawed back within one, 13-12, but a service error and a block by Chelsea Ireland and Katie Leftridge put the hosts up 15-12.
- Stevenson held a 23-19 lead when four straight points by the Ducks tied the set 23-23.
- Freshman Mackenzie Blevins responded with a kill, but after a Stevens point, Leftridge put the Mustangs up 25-24 with a kill.
- Back-to-back kills by Ireland and Hileman with the frame knotted 25-25 closed out the second set victory for Stevenson.
- Five straight Mustang points capped by a block by Ireland and Moriah Savage turned a 5-3 deficit into an 8-5 lead for Stevenson.
