Box Score 1 ALLENTOWN, Pa. - The Stevenson women's volleyball team split with Dickinson and Salisbury on day two of the Buttermaker Tournament hosted at Muhlenberg College on Saturday afternoon at Memorial Hall.
The Mustangs (8-2) defeated Dickinson 23-25, 25-20, 25-16, 25-18 before falling to Salisbury, 14-25, 20-25, 25-20, 23-25.
After dropping the fist set against the Red Devils (3-6), Stevenson rallied to win in four. Senior Kara Anderson totaled six service aces and a career high 19 digs, while sophomore Annika Schwartz totaled 19 kills and 13 digs. Sophomore Karin Schleimer added 27 assists.
Stevenson, who beat the Sea Gulls (6-4) in five sets one week ago, saw its six-game winning streak snapped with the four set loss. The trio of sophomore Schwartz, sophomore Lauren Weaver and junior Kristen Brooks combined for 32 of the team's 53 kills while Schwartz and Brooks added a combined 28 digs. Meanwhile, Weaver and junior Kelsey Stave combined for nine block assists.
This is the fourth time that Schwartz has totaled at least 10 kills and 10 digs in a single match this season.
Stevenson returns to action Tuesday, September 15 when the Mustangs travel to Albright for a MAC Commonwealth contest beginning at 7:00 p.m.
