The hosts trailed 39-37 at halftime but took their first lead of the game, 42-41, on a Roberts three 1:33 into the second half.  The lead was short-lived, as Jesse Mondry scored on the next Gopher possession.  Stevenson and Goucher traded the lead twice before a Canary three with 16:19 left gave the guests the lead for good.  Goucher opened its largest lead, 66-55, with just over eight minutes left on a conventional three-point play by Miles.

Goucher never trailed in the first half and used a 9-2 run to open up a 19-10 lead on a Miles three with 12:40 left in the period.  Stevenson outscored the Gophers 15-6 over the next five-plus minutes and a Mayberry layup 7:11 before intermission tied the game 25-25.  The guests scored the next five points to open up a 30-25 lead and led 38-31 with just over three minutes to go before the Mustangs whittled the lead down to two, 39-37, at the break.

The Gophers shot 63.6% (14-22) from the floor over the final 20 minutes and 56.9% (29-51) for the game while also going 23-33 at the free throw line.  Stevenson, which was outrebounded 36-30, shot 46% (29-63) for the game and went 16-27 at the charity stripe.
