Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

OWINGS MILLS, Md. -  Sophomore Deanna Bradbury totaled a career-high 42 digs versus Franklin & Marshall while the Mustangs recorded a .349 attack percentage against Rowan as the Stevenson women's volleyball team extended its win streak to nine Saturday afternoon at Owings Mills Gymnasium.

The Mustangs (22-7) posted a 25-16, 22-25, 27-25, 25-14 win over Franklin & Marshall before defeating Rowan in straight-sets, 25-15, 25-17, 25-20.

In the first set against the Diplomats (12-12), the two teams exchanged points early before Stevenson gained momentum with a 4-0 run. Franklin & Marshall would cut its deficit to 7-6, but the Mustangs won the next seven points, including six on the serve of junior Sara Bollinger.

The Mustangs led 13-8 in the second set, but the Diplomats took advantage of Stevenson's poor hitting to get back in the game. Franklin & Marshall ended the set on a 17-9 run, including eight-straight to level the match at one set all.

Tied at 6-6 in the third, Stevenson took a 12-7 lead with sophomore Annika Schwartz and Moriah Savage each recording two kills. The Diplomats chipped away at the lead before tying the game at 19-19, but an error by Franklin & Marshall and three-straight kills by Brooks put the Mustangs up 23-19.

Franklin and Marshall responded with two kills and a service ace to bring the game within one at 23-22, but that was as close as they would get as Stevenson closed out the set with three kills and a service ace.

The Mustangs dominated the final set with a .385 hitting percentage, totaling 17 kills and only two errors. The Diplomats were held to a .197 hitting percentage, totaling 11 kills and four errors.

Bradbury's 42 digs ranks third in school history behind Samantha Perillo '14 who holds the record with 46. Perillo also recorded 43 in last year's NCAA Tournament.

In the second match versus the Profs (11-13), Stevenson hit .481 with 14 kills and just one error in the opening set. The Mustangs also recorded five service aces, including two by sophomore Megan Hren.

The hosts continued its hot hitting in the second set, firing off 15 kills, including seven by Schwartz while the Diplomats recorded nine as a team. Schwartz hit .538 in the set on 13 total attacks and no errors.

The third set was tight but the Mustangs broke open a 13-13 tie following a kill by junior Kristen Brooks. Brooks totaled six kills in the set while Schwartz added four.

Schwartz totaled 33 kills, 20 digs, three service aces and two block assists on the day while Brooks finished with 27 kills and 23 digs. Savage was one kill off her career-high as she totaled 12 in the opening match.
