Box Score 1 YORK, Pa. - The Stevenson women's volleyball team extended its winning streak to 15 after posting a straight-set win over Penn State Abington before defeating York (Pa.) in four on day two of the York College Spartan Invitational Saturday at Charles Wolf Gymnasium.
The Mustangs (16-1) defeated Penn State Abington 25-12, 25-11, 25-11 before posting a 25-15, 21-25, 25-14, 25-17 over York (Pa.).
In game one against the Nittany Lions (7-10), sophomore Kristen Brooks totaled a game-high eight kills as 12 different players totaled a kill for the Mustangs. Brooks also totaled seven digs while senior Samantha Perillo finished with a team-high 14.
Six different Stevenson players totaled a service ace including two by both Perillo and junior Kara Anderson.
Victoria Lohman led Penn State Abington with a match-high 17 digs. As a team the Nittany Lions hit just .038 with just 13 kills.
Versus the host Spartans (7-12), the trio of Brooks and freshmen Annika Schwartz and Lauren Weaver combined for 30 of the teams 48 kills as they each totaled 10. The trio has combined for 57.0 percent of the team's kills this season.
Five different players totaled at least 10 digs for the Mustangs who totaled 98 digs, 13 shy of their season-high set on Aug. 31 in a five-set win over Haverford. Perillo totaled a team-high 25 digs while Brooks added a career-high 21.
Sophomore Sara Bollinger finished with 38 assists while also totaling a career-high four service aces. She also added 12 digs. Meanwhile, classmate Kelsey Stave totaled four block assists.
Katherine Graziano led the Spartans with a match-high 38 digs. York (Pa.) became the 12th Stevenson opponent to hit less than .100.
The Mustangs return to action on Saturday, October 4 when they host a MAC Crossover and take on No. 14 Eastern and Wilkes. Game time is 10:00 a.m.
