Box Score 2 YORK, Pa. - The Stevenson women's volleyball team extended its unbeaten streak to 13 after posting back-to-back straight-set wins versus Farmingdale State and FDU-Florham in day one of the York College Spartan Invitational Friday at Charles Wolf Gymnasium.
The Mustangs (14-1) defeated Farmingdale State 25-7, 25-9, 25-14 before posting a 25-15, 25-20, 25-15 versus FDU-Florham.
Stevenson had a balanced attack in game one versus the Rams (6-11) as 12 different players totaled a kill, including five with at least three. Freshman Lauren Weaver led the way with a match-high seven kills to go along with her match-high seven digs.
Freshmen Dahila Duncan and Deanna Bradbury each totaled three service aces while also combining for 10 digs.
Farmingdale State totaled 33 points and a -0.77 hitting percentage, the second time a Mustang opponent has hit in the negative. Stevenson opponents are averaging a .076 hitting percentage this season.
In game two versus the Devils (12-11), sophomore Kristen Brooks totaled 14 kills while senior Samantha Perillo finished with 29 digs, both match-highs. Brooks has totaled at least 10 kills nine times this season.
The Mustangs wrap-up the York College Spartan Invitational Saturday, September 27 when they face Penn State Abington at noon before taking on host York (Pa.) beginning at 4:00 p.m.
