Box Score MECHANICSBURG, Pa. - The Stevenson women's volleyball team extended its unbeaten streak to 21 in the Commonwealth Conference as the Mustangs posted a four-set win over Messiah, 25-21, 22-25, 25-20, 25-18 Wednesday evening at Brubaker Auditorium.
With the win, the Mustangs (12-1, 3-0 MAC) are now unbeaten in their last 11 matches. The team has yet to drop a match in the conference since they entered in 2011 and has dropped just four sets.
Freshman Annika Schwartz posted a match-high 15 kills, two shy of her career-high while also adding 11 digs. Meanwhile, senior Samantha Perillo totaled 32 digs, seven shy of her season-high. It is the ninth-time Perillo has totaled at least 30 digs.
Three other Mustangs posted at least seven kills, including eight by freshman Lauren Weaver who also added 15 digs. Sophomore Sara Bollinger totaled 38 assists and 15 digs.
The Mustangs posted a season-high 17 total blocks, including six block assists by sophomore Kelsey Stave.
The Falcons (9-4, 2-1 MAC) were led by the trio of Kristen Douglas, Emily Zellers and Danielle Weaver who each totaled 17 digs. Lebanon Valley as a team hit just .018, the fourth-straight match a Stevenson opponent has hit less than .100 and the eighth overall.
Stevenson returns to action on Friday, September 26 when the Mustangs travel to the York College Spartan Invitational. The Mustangs open with Farmingdale State beginning at 3:00 p.m.
