Box Score WASHINGTON, D.C. - Led by nine kills from both sophomore Kristen Brooks and freshman Lauren Weaver, the Stevenson women's volleyball team posted their sixth straight-set victory as the Mustangs defeated Gallaudet 25-13, 25-15, 25-16 Thursday evening at the Field House.
The Mustangs (11-1), who totaled at least five service aces for the sixth-straight time, posted their tenth-straight win. Stevenson also has totaled at least five aces in 10 of its 12 matches this season.
Brooks and freshman Annika Schwartz each totaled two services while Brooks also added six digs. Meanwhile, six different Mustangs finished with at least one block, including senior Megan Miller and sophomore Kelsey Stave who each totaled two.
Senior Samantha Perillo totaled a match-high 14 digs.
Kali Frowick led Gallaudet with seven kills, 12 digs, two total blocks and one service ace.
The Bisons (3-7) finished with a -.024 hitting percentage, marking the second-straight time a Stevenson opponent has totaled a negative hitting percentage. It was the seventh time that the Mustangs' opponent has hit less than .100.
Gallaudet finished with 18 kills, which marks the third time that Stevenson's opponent has finished with less than 20 kills. The Mustangs held Albright to a season-low 16 kills on Sept. 16.
Stevenson returns to action on Wednesday, September 24 when the Mustangs travel to face Messiah in a Commonwealth Conference contest beginning at 7:00 p.m.
