Box Score OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Freshman Megan Hren totaled a career-high 14 digs while classmate Dahila Duncan set her career mark with 11 as the Stevenson women's volleyball team posted a straight-set win over Albright in a Commonwealth Conference contest Tuesday night at Owings Mills Gymnasium.
The Mustangs (10-1, 2-0 MAC) improved their record to 47-4 in five seasons in Owings Mills Gymnasium and 20-0 in conference play. Over the past three seasons, Stevenson has dropped just two sets at home.
Hren totaled 10 of her 14 digs in the first set while sophomore Kristen Brooks totaled five of her 13 kills as the Mustangs jumped out to an 11-4 lead. Albright's first six points came on Stevenson errors. The Lions totaled just three kills in the opening set.
In the second set, Stevenson opened with a 12-6 lead before the Lions (3-7, 1-1 MAC) answered with seven-straight points to take a 13-12 advantage. However, the Mustangs would go on to win 13 of the final 19 points.
Freshman Deanna Bradbury totaled four service aces while Duncan added a career-high three. Meanwhile, freshman Lauren Weaver totaled nine kills while sophomore Kelsey Stave added eight.
Albright was led by Caitlin Klotzbach who finished with a game-high 19 digs.
In the three matches Stevenson and Albright have played in the Commonwealth Conference, the Lions have totaled a combined -.007 hitting percentage.
Stevenson returns to action on Thursday, September 18 when the Mustangs travel to face Gallaudet in a non-conference contest beginning at 7:00 p.m.
