Box Score PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Seven different players registered a point, including sophomore Megan Alexander who scored the game-winner early in the third period to lift the Mustangs to their seventh win of the season, 4-2 over Chatham Saturday night at Shady Side Academy.
With the win, Stevenson (7-14-1) eclipsed its total of six set a year ago in its inaugural season. The team has three games remaining this season.
Alexander's fifth goal of the season was her second game-winning goal of the season.
Other goal scorers for the Mustangs included sophomore Jessie Capanelli on the power play, sophomore Madison Lange and sophomore Megan Donahue who picked up an empty net tally with 1:17 remaining in the third.
Stevenson held a 24-13 advantage in shots while sophomore Anastassia Nelson picked up her team-leading third win of the season in goal, improving to 3-2 with 11 saves.
The Cougars (4-14-2) and Mustangs conclude their two-game set on Sunday. Face-off is at 1:00 p.m.
