Box Score WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Stevenson women's volleyball team totaled a season-high 60 kills, including a season-high 16 from senior Megan Miller, while adding 10 service aces and posting a .216 hitting percentage as the Mustangs defeated Catholic Thursday night at the DuFour Center, 18-25, 25-21, 25-9, 25-13.
Stevenson (20-3) extended its road winning streak to 12 and notched its fifth consecutive season with at least 20 wins.
Miller's 16 kills were two shy of her career set at Juniata in the second round of the 2013 NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championship. It was also her third match out of the last four in which she has totaled at least 10 kills.
Freshman Annika Schwartz totaled 14 kills and 10 digs, the fifth time this season she has posted at least 10 kills and 10 digs. In just her second game since October 4, sophomore Kristen Brooks added 10 kills and seven digs.
Senior Samantha Perillo led all players with 24 digs, her third-straight match with at least 20.
Sophomore Jackie Zeppa had seven kills while sophomore Sara Bollinger racked up 48 assists, four shy of her career-high set at Haverford on August 31.
Mary Paige Nesfeder led Catholic (20-8) with eight kills and nine digs. Audrey Bizak and Kathryn Herrington combined for eight of the Cardinals' 14 blocks. Michelle Bouchard had 14 digs.
Stevenson travels to Hood on Saturday for a Commonwealth Conference tri-match with the Blazers and Lycoming beginning at 11:00 a.m.
