Fisher Scores 20, Leads Mustangs in 86-72 Victory over Lebanon Valley

OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Led by a team-high 20 points and eight rebounds from Stevenson men's basketball sophomore Erik Fisher, the Mustangs posted their third-straight victory over Lebanon Valley, 86-72 Saturday in a Commonwealth Conference contest at Owings Mills Gymansium.

With the win, the Mustangs (10-3, 5-1 MAC) improved their all-time record to 4-1 against Lebanon Valley and are now 5-1 at home this season.

Neither team led by more than four points in the first 11:44 of the game until a jumper by Fisher put Stevenson up by six.

That sparked a 9-0 run by the Mustangs to give them their largest lead of the half at 29-18 with 6:41 remaining.

With five seconds left before halftime, junior Colby Giacubeno sank his second three-pointer of the game to give Stevenson a 41-35 halftime lead.

Led by seven points from Fisher, the Mustangs used a 14-0 run to open the second half and push their lead to 20 before extending it to their largest lead of the game at 23.

Junior Justin Kuntz finished with 13 points, eight rebounds, four steals, three assists and one block.

Giacubeno and sophomore Christian Roberts both added 11 points apiece while Roberts also added five assists and two steals.

The Dutchmen (4-8, 2-4 MAC) were led by conference leading scorer Kevin Agnew who had a game-high 31 points.

The Mustangs outrebounded Lebanon Valley 42-30 and scored 36 points off turnovers.

Stevenson returns to action on Wednesday, January 15 when they host No. 20 Messiah in a Commonwealth Conference contest beginning at 8:00 p.m. Last season the Mustangs and Falcons split their two games with each team winning at home.
