YORK, Pa. - With victories over Carnegie Mellon and York (Pa.), the No. 20 Stevenson women's volleyball team set a new school record for consecutive victories with 22 on Saturday at the York Spartan Volleyball Invitational.

The Mustangs (22-0) posted a 26-24, 25-21, 20-25, 16-25, 15-12 victory over Carnegie Mellon, their first five-set match of the season, followed by a 25-20, 25-13, 25-20 win against host York (Pa.).

Against the Tartans (15-4), Stevenson posted a season-high 73 kills, including a career-high 19 from sophomore Imani Hudson (Burke, Va./Lake Braddock). Hudson also posted 10 digs.

Senior Jessica Gieselman (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) registered a career-high 59 assists while junior Samantha Perillo (Wilmington, Del./Wilmington Friends) had a season-high 32 digs, seven shy of her career best.

Senior Jenna Campbell (Brookeville, Md./Good Counsel) totaled 13 kills and 10 digs, while junior Megan Miller (Middletown, Del./St. Georges Tech) had 14 kills and freshman Kristen Brooks (Wilmington, Del./Concord) added a career-best 13.

In game two against the Spartans (12-7), Hudson and Campbell combined for 22 of the teams 33 kills.

Perillo added 23 digs while Gieselman had 29 assists.

After totaling 101 assists this weekend, Gieselman surpassed the 4,000 assist mark and now has a career total of 4,020.

Stevenson returns to action on Wednesday, October 2 when they travel to face Alvernia in a Commonwealth Conference contest beginning at 7:00 p.m.
