Box Score 2 YORK, Pa. - Led by 15 kills and 18 digs by senior Jenna Campbell (Brookeville, Md./Good Counsel), the No. 20 Stevenson women's volleyball team picked up two straight set victories over Rowan and Penn State Abington Friday at the York Spartan Volleyball Invitational.
The Mustangs (20-0) tied the school record with 20 consecutive victories with a 25-16, 25-12, 25-19 victory over Rowan and a 25-16, 25-19, 25-14 win againt Penn State Abington. The 2012 team also totaled 20 consective victories from September 28 to November 9.
In game one against the Profs (7-6), Campbell, junior Megan Miller (Middletown, Del./St. Georges Tech) and freshman Kristen Brooks (Wilmington, Del./Concord) combined for 30 kills with 10 a piece.
Freshman Sara Bollinger (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) totaled a career-high 23 assists and eight digs.
Against the Nittany Lions (7-12), freshman Alexis Gibbs (Shelter Island, N.Y./Shelter Island) registered a career-best nine kills. Campbell added a game-high 10 digs.
Sophomore Kelly McKenzie (Nanticoke, Md./James Bennet) had a career-high six total blocks.
Stevenson returns to action tomorrow, when they wrap up the York College Spartan Volleyball Invitational against Carnegie Mellon beginning at 2:00 p.m. followed by host York (Pa.) at 4:00 p.m.
