Box Score OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Led by a career-high 14 points on 7-of-10 shooting from sophomore Erik Fisher, the Stevenson men's basketball team shot 57.6 percent from the floor en route to an 89-65 non-conference victory over Marywood Wednesday at Owings Mills Gymnasium.
With the win, the Mustangs (7-1) improve to 10-1 in non-conference games dating back to last season, including a perfect 7-0 in 2012-13. The team's only blemish was a last-second, 70-69 loss to Birmingham-Southern in the Hoopsville National Invitational Classic.
Stevenson had 12 different players register at least two points, including eight in the first half, as the Mustangs scored 44 points off the bench.
Senior Stefon McCray totaled 12 points connecting on 5-of-6 of his field goal attempts while sophomore Christian Roberts added 11. Senior Alfonzo Hawkins finished with seven points and a season-high six assists.
As a team, Stevenson dished out a season-best 21 assists on 38 made baskets while outrebounding Marywood 34-31.
The Pacers (3-5) were led by Shane Kellaher who totaled 15 points on three three-pointers, four assists, three rebounds and two steals.
The Mustangs return to action on Sunday, December 29 when they travel to Atlanta, Georgia to take on LaGrange in the Country Inn & Suites Holiday Classic. Game time is at 8:00 p.m.
