Box Score 2 WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Led by senior Christine Isenberg (Taneytown, Md./Francis Scott Key) and sophomore Imani Hudson (Burke, Va./Lake Braddock), the Stevenson women's volleyball team remained unbeaten in the Commonwealth Conference with back-to-back victories over Hood and Lycoming Saturday at Lycoming's Lamade Gymnasium.
The Mustangs (27-1, 7-0 MAC) have now won 16 consecutive conference matches since joining the Commonwealth Conference a year ago.
Isenberg and Hudson combined for 34 kills and a .608 hitting percentage as the duo committed just three errors in 51 attempts. Isenberg totaled eight kills on eight swings versus Hood (4-16, 1-5 MAC) while Hudson had seven on 14 attempts with no errors.
As a team, Stevenson totaled 43 kills and a .351 hitting percentage compared to just 14 kills and a .039 percentage for the Blazers.
Freshman Kristen Brooks (Wilmington, Del./Concord) also added seven kills while sophomore Kelly McKenzie (Nanticoke, Md./James Bennett) had four. Junior Samantha Perillo (Wilmington, Del./Wilmington Friends) totaled five service aces and seven digs while freshman Sara Bollinger (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) posted two kills, 11 assists and eight digs.
Against Lycoming (19-8, 4-3 MAC), Isenberg added 10 more kills while Hudson had nine as the two combined for 19 of the team's 40. Isenberg also had six digs.
With 40 digs, the Mustangs doubled the Warriors' total while holding them to a minus-.024 hitting percentage aided by 17 total blocks.
Brooks finished with four kills and four total blocks versus the Warriors while Perillo posted four more service aces and seven digs and McKenzie had five additional kills. Junior Megan Miller (Middletown, Del./St. Georges Tech) totaled six kills and seven block assists.
Stevenson returns home to face Gallaudet on Thursday at Owings Mills Gymnasium beginning at 7:00 p.m.
