OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Stevenson field hockey junior Caitlin Dempsey (Fallston, Md./Fallston) scored the first two goals of her collegiate career, including the game-winner with 6:36 remaining in the first overtime as the Mustangs earned their first win in the Commonwealth Conference with a 2-1 victory versus Widener Saturday at Mustang Stadium.

Stevenson (4-4, 1-0 MAC) snapped a two-game losing streak at home in the first-ever meeting between the two teams.

Dempsey, a transfer from Division II West Chester, is now tied for third on the team with six points.

Widener (1-6, 0-1 MAC) held a slim 12-10 edge in shots, but a 14-5 advantage in penalty corners. Six of the Pride's penalty corners came in overtime.
